About My Practice

I decided to open up my practice so that I could provide services to people with a focus on the whole person.  Instead of just focusing on a diagnosis, I like to look at each person's strengths, resources and resiliency while also addressing symptoms.  My work integrates the use of evidence-based practices with the art of figuring out what is most helpful for each individual. My practice incorporates the use of:

  • Neuroscience and its relationship to trauma
  • Mindfulness
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • DBT
  • EMDR
  • CBT-TF (trauma focused)

About Me Professionally

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been private practice since 2013.  Before working for myself, I worked in a variety of agency settings providing individual therapy, group therapy, case management and community based-trainings.  I have extensive experience working with survivors of traumatic brain injury, and have expanded my work and training to include treatment of trauma, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.

  • MA Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver
  • NCC (Nationally Certified Counselor)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS)
  • Trained in EMDR
  • Specialized training in the treatment of trauma, and post traumatic stress

I strive to:

  • Create a good working therapeutic relationship with my clients
  • Challenge and foster growth
  • Create a vision of hope that things can be better
  • Help you find and utilize your strengths
  • Deliver proper feedback
  • Respect differences
